HOUSTON, (Feb. 12, 2004) - Team Suzuki's Nick Wey put together an awesome race this past weekend, laying down some of the evening's fastest lap times and being there in the end for his best finish of the year - a fourth place at San Francisco's Pacific Bell Stadium. This weekend Wey and Team Suzuki travel to Houston's Reliant Stadium for Round Seven of the 2004 THQ/AMA Supercross Series.

"Yeah, felt good to put a race together like that," said Wey, who's currently in seventh place overall in the standings. "Suzuki's doing an excellent job of making sure I have the fastest bike available and last night I was able to put some things together we've been working on in practice and come away from the race with my best finish of the year. Granted, it's not a podium, but those will come - especially if we continue to work together as a team the way we have."

Last year at Houston, the first race ever at Reliant Stadium, Wey finished fifth overall. And no doubt this year he'll be looking to improve upon his top five finish, maybe cracking the top three for the first time.

"I love racing in Texas," said Wey. "The fans there are knowledgeable and loud. Seems I've always done pretty well there and am counting on myself  and my RM 250 to succeed this coming weekend."

Next week Wey and Team Suzuki will be in Minneapolis for Round Eight of the 2004 THQ/AMA Supercross Series.
