ANAHEIM,
Calif. - Team Suzuki's Nick Wey went 9-6 for an 8th place
overall finish this past weekend at Broome-Tioga Sport Center, Round 10 of the
2004 AMA Chevrolet Motocross Championship.
Wey, aboard an RM 250, lost a bit of ground on friendly
rival Ernesto Fonseca in the battle for sixth place overall, now trailing
Fonseca by eight points with two races remaining.
"I got a couple bad starts and my lap times were
indicative of right where I finished," said Wey. "Tough track to move
up on if you didn't get good starts, so, if there's something positive to pull
out of this, I was pleased I moved up in the standings.
"Other than that - plain and simple - I'm just going to
have to race better at the final two races."
Wey and Team Suzuki take this weekend off before returning
to action Sept. 5th at
