AURORA,
Ill. (May 8 , 2006) – Nick Wey, of Dewitt, Mich., earned top finishing
privateer honors for the 2005-’06 Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP championship
and was awarded a new 2006 Toyota Tundra, a 2006 Weekend Warrior Supercross
Edition trailer courtesy of Giant RV and $25,000 from US Smokeless Tobacco
Company.
Wey,
who rides for the MDK Motorsports Honda Team, finished inside the top 11 at all
17 races, the top five at nine races and on the podium at three races. Wey
finished fifth in the final point standings in both the Amp’d Mobile World
Supercross GP and the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series.
